All About Ms. Inzitari
My name is Janet Inzitari.
I grew up in Stamford, CT and went to Stamford Public Schools.
(Springdale, Stark, Dolan, and Stamford High School!)
I went to Western CT State University in Danbury, CT for both my Bachelor's and my Master's in Education.
I am entering my 17th year of teaching, all of them in Stamford. I began my career at Toquam, where I taught kindergarten for 5 years and first grade for 7 years. I moved over to Northeast in 2020 and I've been teaching 2nd grade for 5 years now!
I love to get to know my students and building a classroom community. I work to set expectations and routines for the first few weeks to create independent students who can work successfully in the classroom!
My favorite subject to teach is reading! I love watching my students make connections and start to have real success in reading, getting into stories. I love when their confidence builds. :)
A little about me:
-I have a 6 year old daughter, Madelyn. She is a very sweet and sassy little first grader (!!!) full of personality! We spend lots of time with our family and friends.
-I live in Monroe, CT - very close to Newtown.
-I love coffee SO much! I also love Amazon Prime, bright colors, awesome school supplies and decor, and recently, I've entered my gardening era. :)
-I love to joke with the kids. I try to create a learning environment where they love to try new things and aren't afraid of making mistakes.
Summer 2025 looked like this for us:
Maddie and I became backyard veggie gardeners!
We frequented the Monroe Farmer's Market. :)
We went to a Goo Goo Dolls Concert!

We went parasailing in Lake George!

We rode the new rollercoaster at Quassy!
We hiked... a lot!
